Kenemax installs patio doors and entry doors in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx. Every product is specified for the project, and our own crews install it.
We choose the door for the building and the budget. Jeld-Wen is the door maker named on our products page.
We visit and measure when the job calls for it, and we measure before any order is placed. The same people who survey the job see it through.

Doors for Balconies,
Terraces and Roof Decks
Sliding, French and folding door systems for the outdoor access points on balconies, terraces and roof decks. They are specified to meet NYC wind load, thermal and waterproofing requirements, in aluminum, wood or composite, in both residential and commercial-grade systems.
A sliding terrace door seals along a track, so wind load, thermal break and waterproofing at the sill decide whether it works in a New York building. A swing door's compression seal can outperform a slider on air and water tightness on exposed high-rise terraces, but an in-swing gives up interior floor space and an out-swing needs clear deck and has to be detailed for wind catch.
A flush balcony threshold combines accessibility, water resistance, structure and drainage, and a low profile does not prove water performance at the required pressure.

New window and door installations carry a 2-year workmanship warranty. If it fails due to our work, we come back.
Any defect in how the door was installed: improper anchoring, air or water infiltration at the installation perimeter, hardware that was not properly set.
The maker's own warranty comes with the product, and we coordinate warranty claims with the manufacturer for you. The terms are on the Service Guarantee page.

What happens after I reach out to Kenemax?
We follow up within one business day to discuss your project and schedule a site visit. During the visit we assess existing conditions, take field measurements, and gather what we need to prepare an accurate proposal.
What does a Kenemax proposal include?
Every proposal includes window and door specifications, frame materials, glass package, installation method, lead time, payment terms, and warranty details.
Do you handle permits and filings?
We handle both DOB Master Plan Permit and DOT permit filings in-house when required. A Master Plan Permit is required when the masonry opening is being modified or when structural changes to the opening are involved. For the majority of standard replacement jobs, neither permit is required.
What does a shop drawing package include?
A full shop drawing package includes dimensioned elevations of each opening, rough opening sizes and clearances, product section details and anchoring methods, sill flashing and perimeter waterproofing details, hardware schedules, and glazing specifications.

We install windows and doors from the makers named on our products page and choose the product for the building and the budget. As an installer, not a manufacturer, we source the right product for your project rather than pushing a single brand.
